El Alazan mexican restaurant Windsor Colorado

January 11, 2012

There was a handicapped parking spot that worked well where we could put our ramp out. It was also really close to the building. A Guy from the restaurant came out and opened the door and was waiting for us to get to the door which was nice. Inside there was quite a bit of space and was easy to get around. When we were seated the table was okay but it was kind of hard to avoid the leg under the table as it was rather large, but I was mostly you under. I did not try the bathroom but it looked like it was at least easy to get to.

Sanford's grub and pub- Fort Collins Colorado

January 4, 2012

There was one handicapped spot that worked well for us to get the ramp out, there were more but they would not have worked for us. Inside there was some space inside and enough to get around fairly easily. The bathroom was fairly easy to get to but when you got there I had to make a sharp turn to get in which made it a little difficult plus when you get in the trash can was directly in my way and there wasn’t many places to put it. The stall was actually pretty good with plenty of space and worked well. The sink was up in the tight spot by the door and the trash can so it was hard to get to also. It was easy to get to the table which was fairly big, but for napkins they had a post type thing with a roll of paper towels which was hard for me to get, I couldn't get to them so I need help getting those. When they brought the menu they were huge and I had trouble getting it open and turning the pages, it was kind of hard to handle.

Buffalo wild wings Loveland Colorado

January 3, 2012.

There were multiple handicap spots with quite a bit of space around for loading which worked great for us. The bathroom was fairly good the door pulled out of the bathroom so if I would've been inside by myself I could have pushed the door open. The stall was good with quite a bit of space and it worked well, the sink however was a little difficult to get to. In the front waiting area it was a little tight and crowded. Our table was one with the little handicap logo on it, with the legs of the table were at the outside corners so they were not in my way. Most of the rest of the tables I saw had the leg in the middle of the table, but it looked to me like it would've been okay for me to get under anyways.

Sleep inn Urbandale Iowa

September 15, 2011.

There were two parts of the room, the part with the beds and a room divider with a sitting area. There were two TVs in the room and a good desk. The bathroom was good, the sink and toilet worked well and had enough room to move around.

The Roll in shower was big and looked like it would work pretty well, but we did not use it. The hoyer lift was able to go under the bed which worked great. There was enough room to move around and place to park in the room. Our room also had a door to the pool which we didn’t use but could've been useful. This was a two queen room with a roll in shower. There seemed to be plenty of handicap parking and there was an automatic door so I could get in the hotel by myself.

Machine shed restaurant Urbandale Iowa.

September 15 and 16th

This restaurant was near the hotel we so we went through both parking lots to get there the hotels and the restaurants. The front part is kind of like a Cracker Barrel and there is plenty of room inside. The tables were huge and easy to get under and worked great. The bathroom is good and had a good stall and I could use the sink well. In the morning when we went back for breakfast there were handicapped parking spots that were close up and under the roof.

Comfort suites Milwaukee Wisconsin

For the time we were in Milwaukee we stayed at the Comfort suites in Milwaukee Wisconsin from September 10 through September 14, 2011.

My mom made sure by asking at the front desk to make sure that the room had a roll in shower. they said yes it did have a roll in shower. When we got to the room, which was on the second floor, we went in the bathroom and there was a tub instead of a roll in shower. We went back down to talk to the front desk and they said how sorry they were.  They also said that we could use the room and then tomorrow night we could move to a 2 queen room that was connected to a king room with a roll in shower at the same rate.

We slept in the queen room so my parents would be there if I needed help during the night. The king room with a roll in shower was great. The bathroom was a very good bathroom with more than enough room to do everything. The toilet had plenty of room around it, and the sink I could actually use.

Both rooms had plenty of space and room to put stuff and for me to get around. The desk was okay and both rooms had flat screen TVs. The only problem with the two rooms was the connecting doors were a pain. There were two room doors, two connecting doors and two bathroom doors that would all open to the same spot which made getting through a little difficult. We had to go to the corner of the bed to use the lift and slide me up the bed like we have to do at most hotels.

This place was very accessible throughout the hotel, the front door was automatic and it was a spacious area in the front area of the hotel. The breakfast room was large and was easy to get through.

This place was great for accessibility, but not so much for what we needed. If you need a one King room with a roll in shower or a two queen accessible with a tub this was a great place.

Polonez Polish restaurant Milwaukee Wisconsin

September 14, 2011

Polonez Polish restaurant Milwaukee Wisconsin

The front door was not accessible. The handicapped parking spots were full, so we parked in the back and had to use the back door that had the handicapped logo on it which worked fine. The bathroom barely worked but I could get everything done. In the restaurant it looked like there was plenty of room and I was easily able to get to the table and many more tables will work fine as well.
