Idaho Springs Colorado

August 19, 2013

We stopped in Idaho Springs for lunch at the Main Street restaurant. This was on Miner Street I surprisingly could get on and off most sidewalks at the corners. Some of the restaurants were accessible, but it seemed like most of the other stores were not. There were two big parking lots between 15th and 17th Ave.  The handicapped parking was okay but maybe didn't have the biggest loading zone.  When we were there on a Monday at lunch there were a lot of open parking spaces. There was a ramp up to a train that was next to the parking lot, but you can’t see in unless you go up a couple of steps. There was a path under I 70 that went to the waterwheel which was wheelchair accessible.

Main Street Restaurant - Idaho Springs, CO

August 19, 2013

We had to park and walk or drive a block or two. It was very crowded inside especially in the front, there were only two tables available and I couldn’t get to one of them.  The one we did say that was a table for two. Once I figured out how to park my wheelchair the three of us could squeeze around it okay. The bathroom in the back was very accessible and a lot better than I expected it was just one big room.
