We stopped here just about every year there is very nice parking. There is a nice outside area room for me to drive around. The inside area was nice with a glassed in the area and places to sit and rest. They have a family/accessible restroom which was very nice and was actually unlocked this time. Sometimes in the past it hasn’t been.

Northwest New Mexico Visitor Center– Grants New Mexico
March 2, 2016
south of I-40 at Exit 85
This was a nice place to rest and go to the restroom. There
was a family/accessible restroom which worked great. The main doors are
automatic which was very nice. Then the restroom then another set of automatic
doors inside. This is a visitor center with a small museum plus a large area
were the whole wall is glass so you can look out and was very nice to sit in
the sun.

Train station and Visitors center - Las Vegas New Mexico
March 3 and 12, 2015
There are two handicap spots in front and a brick path in
front. Inside there is some room to sit and rest, there were a couple tight
places. The restroom was a decent size
and had a decent stall and I could get to the sink. Just don’t go there when
there’s a broke down train with all the passengers all over the place, in the
parking lot and inside.

Rest area I-25 Exit 18 near Trinidad CO
March 3 and 12, 2015
This rest area has good parking and a nice indoor area and
space to rest. The main restroom is okay, but the stalls aren’t that big. There is a family/accessible restroom that is
nice when it’s unlocked but most of the times we’ve been there it’s been locked.

Rest area in Wyoming Interstate 80 east and west at exit 41 Lyman WY
June 20, 2014
This rest area was just like the previous one we visited at
Fort Steele in the building set up and the parking lot. However the accessible
bathroom was more spacious and quite a bit easier to use. And no full blast
air-conditioning.

Painted Cliffs Welcome Center - Interstate 40, Exit #359 in Arizona
March 4, 2013
Parking was good there were some handicapped spots that all
would work well. The doors and entryways
were alright. There was a decent amount
of space in the welcome center that had all the travel information. the
bathroom was okay the stalls were kind of small with not much extra space, the
sink was okay to use they didn't have any paper towels so we had to use the
dryer thing which I don't think it's a good idea to drive my power chair with a
wet hand to get to the dryer so we bring our own paper towels just in case.

Northwest New Mexico Visitor Center I-40 Exit 85 - Grants New Mexico
March 4, 2013
There was plenty of space to park in the parking lot with multiple
handicap spots that all would work well. It was a little steep to get from there up to
the door the sidewalk/path from the parking lot to the door was rough and bumpy
to drive over with my wheelchair.
When I
got there, there was an automatic door which made things a lot easier.
Inside there was a ton of space and a nice big
window to look out also there was travel information filling the building along
with a Museum and a small auditorium. They had a family accessible bathroom
which had quite a bit more space than normal stall would have, this was nice. The sink and the paper towels are both easy to
get to and worked well.
