Crackers and Company – Mesa Arizona

March 7, 2016

The handicap spots for full so we parked across the lot in a regular spot that was fine for us. It was alright inside maybe a little difficult to get through a few places but our table was good. The restroom wasn’t too hard to get to and there was a decent stall although it was a little crowded between the sink area and where the door opened.

Rosa’s Mexican Grill – Mesa Arizona

March 5, 2016

This was in a little shopping center and there were a couple of good handicap spots. The front area was maybe a bit crowded. We were seated at a larger round table that wasn’t the best, but if I parked at the right place with the table leg in a certain place it worked okay.

Chaparral Park and Xeriscape Garden– Scottsdale Arizona

March 5, 2016

This had a little trail through it that was fairly accessible not too exciting but all right it was at a park that had baseball and soccer field so the parking lot was a bit busy on a Saturday afternoon but there were multiple handicap spots that would work all right.

Tempe Beach Park – Tempe Arizona

March 5, 2016

We were here for an MDA muscle walk. The park was all right and the accessible restroom was decent and had enough room. There were porta potties set up probably just for the event, but there was a large bump in the ground right in front of the handicap one so that’s why we went to the regular restroom.

Orchard eats – Mesa Arizona

March 4, 2016

This place was in a shopping center so we parked kind of around the corner by the grocery store in a good handicap spot. The bathroom was very good and easy to get to. Inside was spacious and there was plenty of room between the tables. This place you order at the counter and they bring your food out. The table we chose work well.

Matt’s big breakfast – Phoenix Arizona

March 4, 2016

This had a small parking lot in the back with a handicap spot that was all right except there was a hole in the parking lot which we had to be careful when we left to back into the hole. We had to go around the side of the building to the front and had to wait for a while for an accessible table. Finally when we got in was a bit crowded inside, but our table when we got there was decent.

Japanese friendship garden – Phoenix Arizona

March 4, 2016

Most of the garden was accessible for the main path. A few places were not too accessibl,e but most of it was nice with benches to sit here and there. There was also good handicap parking and a pretty accessible restroom.

Chanpen Thai Cusine – Phoenix Arizona

March 3, 2016

This place had a very small parking lot there was a spot right next to the sign and then the sidewalk which left just enough space for a ramp to come out but no one to park next to us. This was a very small building with only about six tables and I could only maybe use three of them.  There was a bit of a bump at the door. Once we got in the table was okay, but it was a little bit hard for my parents to get around to the other side of the table. It was very crowded, but it worked and was well worth it when the food came.

Arizona visitor center on I-40 West at Arizona and New Mexico border

March 2, 2016

This place was always nice because there was an indoor place that had maps and travel information, but this trip when we got there the door said it was permanently closed which is too bad because I like being able to rest inside a building. The restrooms were still there which were okay but not the best.

Drury Inn and suites - Albuquerque New Mexico

March 1 and March 12, 2016

We stayed at this hotel previously to and from Phoenix, one night went very well but the second time on our way back is why we haven’t been back. We also haven’t been able to find a better place in Albuquerque so we decided to try it again. This was the same exact room it was a bit crowded and there was not too much extra space, so that was difficult.

However the bed was open underneath so the Hoyer lift could go under to pick me up. That made life a lot easier. I usually sleep on the other side of the bed so we did have to drag me across the bed but that wasn’t too bad.

The bathroom was good the sink was all right and the toilet had some room around it. This roll in shower looked all right although we didn’t use it. This room was at the end of the hall with handicap parking right out the door plus it was next to the ice machine. The rest of the hotel lobby and all and food room were all right.
