The Copper Pot – Englewood CO

February 11, 2014

There was a good handicap parking spot in back or side of building easy to get from there to the door.  The door had a almost ramp right at the door, but need 2 people to hold the 2 doors.  Once inside it wasn’t too bad, I could get around fine and the table worked well. But then to the restroom, you have to go through the washroom door then past a storage room and the women’s room to get to the men’s room.  Just inside the door was a sink in front and to the right and a urinal to the left. Back past the urinal was a tiny stall that I couldn’t get to anyways.  Once inside I had to pull up far enough for my dad to shut the door while reaching over me.  Once we got the door shut I had to turn toward the sink to have enough space to use my urinal.  And I had to hope no one slammed the door open into me.  Once I was done I got a wet paper towel since I couldn’t get to the sink.  Then to get out dad had to reach over me again and I had to go forward without running into him, until the door could open all the way then I had to back all the way out past all the other doors.

South China Restaurant - Fort Collins CO

January 23, 2014

The handicap parking spot right in front does not have enough space for our ramp, so we either just park out a ways in the lot or in College Americas handicap spots next door.  There is decent spacing throughout and easy to get between tables.  The table we sat at worked well.  To get to the men’s room you have to follow the hall past the kitchen, and then you find a small accessible restroom that works and that’s about it.

A-Town Pizza - Aurora CO

The parking lot was ok; I had no problem getting to the restroom.  The restroom was decent.  I had trouble getting far enough under the table because the round part on the bottom of the leg in the middle stuck out too far, so my wheels ran into that.  When I came in from the end I could get far enough under.

Stuft A Burger Bar - Windsor, CO

The handicap spot is not all that great of a spot to Park, but since it was about 1:30 there were plenty of spots so we parked our little bit just to unload. The doorway might be a little crowded with two doors to go through and inside was very good and had a lot of space to get around. When we were seated the lady took both chairs from my side of the table so I had more space. The table worked very well for me as well.

Doug's Day Diner - Fort Collins, CO

January 11, 2014
This place is in the SuperTarget shopping center between quite a few other restaurants. But there happened to be three handicap spots that are right in front of Doug's. We first went in at about noon on Saturday it was crowded in the front because of so many people waiting. But once people waiting were seated it was fairly easy to get through the restaurant in my wheelchair. Our table worked very well for me and was actually a good-sized table for the four of us, and I didn't check the bathroom.

Tavern on the Green Grill at Highland Meadows - Windsor CO

There were a couple of handicap spots but there was still a fair distance to get to the restaurant. Once you get in there there's quite a bit of room in some places and not so much in others.  Some of the tables would've been very hard to get to in my wheelchair but some were very easy to get to. The bathroom was fairly accessible, but the door was rather heavy and it was difficult to get to the sink.

A Taste of Home Cooking - Wheat Ridge, CO

September 21, 2013

The handicap parking looked a little awkward, so we parked next to their sign where there was room for us to let our ramp out, but not enough room for someone else to park there.  The front of the restaurant was very crowded; there were a couple of couches that were too big for the space which made it harder to make it through.  Right when we left the waiting area there were steps down to one seating area, so I had to be careful when driving past because there was hardly enough space.  The bathroom was not too bad there was enough room and the stall fairly big.  At the sink the mirrors I couldn’t see either one was too high and the other too low.
