March 11, 2013
After our first stay on March 3, 2013, we were happy with
everything especially that we finally found a hotel in Albuquerque with a two queen
room with a roll in shower. Well on our
stay on the way home we were happy that we didn’t have to worry about what the
room would have. However when we arrived
kind of late at night, they said that they double booked the room and gave it
to someone else. But they said they
would give us an upgrade to a suite. We
thought that would work just fine. When
we got to the room, there was a sleeper sofa and a king bed. None of us wanted to or could sleep on the
sleeper sofa. Also we didn’t want to all
sleep together on the king bed. So we
had to go back down to the front desk and tell them it wouldn’t work. So they said the only other room they could
give us was a smoking room that was accessible with two queen beds. This was not ideal, but at least we got the
room free of charge.
The next morning my dad went to talk to the manager, they
said that they were really sorry and that they should have found us another
place with the type of room we wanted.
Which that sounds great except for you’ll be looking for a long time,
since there are not many. That was the
reason we stayed here was because this was the only place we have found in Albuquerque
with the two queen beds and a roll in shower.
We had also reserved this room months in advance so it was
very disappointing. I’m not sure either
why you would double book a specialized room, where the accommodations are
required, like an accessible room/bathroom especially since there are only a
couple of these rooms in the hotel.
The next day after we returned home the area manager called
and apologized again.
