Welcome to the Accessible Roadtrip Blog. I will be posting information about how accessible places I have been are, including information on bathrooms, restaurants, and hotels.
The parking was alright with enough space;
inside there was not a ton of space but enough to get around easily. Our table worked great. The bathroom was okay again not the greatest
but okay.
The parking was ok it was a little
bit of an awkward parking lot, but the handicap spots were good. The spot
we needed was full.In the morning this
didn’t matter because we left kind of late in the morning. The doors were automatic which makes it a lot
easier to get in.The front area and
breakfast area looked like there was decent room and space to get around. We had to use the elevator to the second
floor which is where our handicap room was.
The room description said it had 2 queen beds and an accessible bathroom
with a tub.
No roll in shower, but we
were going to be in and out anyways.
This is what we got which was nice that it was what it said it was going
to be because that hasn’t always been the case. The bed was quite high, but we could get the
hoyer lift under it, so I wouldn’t have to be moved so much when I got to the
bed. The sink worked well and so did the
toilet.
In the door way to the bathroom
it was flat unlike most places that have a bump right there.
There were a couple of handicap spots, one that was a van accessible that worked
pretty well. The front area was easy to get into. Most of the tables I saw were
really like mini booths and some regular size booths, but there were some
tables. The table we were seated at was
a little low, so I couldn’t get completely under it.We didn’t use the bathroom, so I don’t know
what it was like.
There were a handful of handicapped parking spots that worked
great and had plenty of space to load and unload. Inside the front area and
throughout the restaurant mostly had enough space to get around when I got to
the table that had the handicap logo on it. The only problem was I could not
get between the legs. So I kind of had to angle myself so I could get some what
under the table. The bathroom was a little hard to get in the door and in the
stall, but we managed to get everything done.
My name is Ryan I enjoy watching sports especially the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. As well as traveling eating and cooking. I am also affected by Muscular Dystrophy which makes some things harder but you still have to get up every day so you might as well enjoy life as much as you can.
